Born and raised on the island of Maui, Kendra developed a deep love for the water from an early age. She grew up swimming, surfing, and canoe paddling, fostering a lifelong connection to the ocean. As a swim instructor, she is passionate about sharing her love for the water while teaching essential, life-saving skills to children.
Kendra specializes in working with special needs students, helping them learn vital water safety skills while also creating a fun and enjoyable aquatic experience. She believes that swimming can be both a life-saving skill and a meaningful leisure activity for children of all abilities to enjoy.
In addition to her work in aquatics, Kendra is pursuing certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), working with children in home and clinic settings. She is dedicated to helping kids grow, thrive, and build confidence—both in and out of the water.
