I have a strong passion for water sports and working with children, and am eager to combine these interests with my studies in Biomedical sciences in order to make swim-instructing as safe and fun as possible. A bit of background: I grew up swimming, paddling, and kayaking between Kāne’ohe and San Francisco and hope to one day become a somewhat decent surfer. In spending most of my time in the ocean, I have developed respect and kuleana toward water that I think is important to share with our keiki. I did my last two years of high school in Victoria, Canada, where I trained for open water swims and became a kayak instructor. Currently, I am studying biology and pre-medicine at University College Utrecht in the Netherlands. As a swim instructor with Ola Loa, I am excited to build confidence, safety skills, and a love for the water in our keiki!
