I grew up in New Mexico in a family deeply rooted in athletics and education. With parents who coached track, cross country, and swimming, I developed an early passion for movement, teaching, and caring for community. I competed in swimming and running for over ten years and later spent four years teaching swim lessons and working as a lifeguard.
My love of athletics has continued into adulthood through swimming, running, hiking, rock climbing, competitive cycling, and Latin dance, including salsa and bachata. Alongside my athletic background, I also have two years of experience working in special education, which strengthened my commitment to inclusive, individualized instruction.
I believe everyone deserves access to quality swimming lessons and water safety education that meets their unique needs.
By combining my experience in athletics, swim instruction, and special education, I hope to help children and adults build confidence, safety, and joy in and around the water!
